Clerical Authority in Shi’ite Islam: The Seminaries of Iraq and Iran – a three year project of the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies, and the British Institute of Persian Studies – announces a CALL FOR PAPERS for its first workshop to be held on 27th May 2009 at the British Academy (London) and the opening of applications for RESEARCH PROGRAMME GRANTS of up to £5000 each, with a closing date of 20th March 2009.
