4. Associate Professor in the Study of Religions with a Specialization in Islam, University of Bergen, Norway
The perspective of this study is crosscultural and comparative, including both the history of religions as well as the systematic study of religion. The successful applicant should have research competence in at least one source language relevant for the study of Islam.

5. Research Scholar on “Islamic Definition of the Nuclear Family in the Wake of Modern Biomedical Technology”, Georgetown University in Qatar
The position will be based in Doha for the period of 8 months on a full time basis. It is scheduled to begin by September 1, 2017. The successful candidate will possess sufficient knowledge and expertise in the social sciences with a particular focus on the Muslim world or Muslim populations. PhD in hand or expected by the start date is required. Proficiency in Arabic language is strongly desired.

This position is for a one-year project with possible renewal for a second year. While a PhD is desired, a candidate with a Master’s degree and approximately five years of related experience would also be considered.
